Birdstep EasyFlash - Standardising the USB modem install base
Birdstep EasyFlash enables the operator who has already deployed a range of devices and Connection Managers to standardize the install base and reduce support costs. It will perform installation on the PC, de-installation of an old/incompatible connection manager as well as "re-flashing" the modem, in one common and coherent flow for the end-user.
EasyFlash extends the lifetime and usefulness of USB modems by updating the Connection Manager software and device drivers stored on the modem. This means that the device can be reused for example on another laptop, and even on one containing an operating system released after the modem has shipped. This helps the operator to avoid customer confusion and support calls.
