How does the service work?
SafeMove Mobile Access leverages built-in IPsec VPN clients on mobile phones and tablets. The full system, including certificate and configuration management, operates as a service by Birdstep, either in Birdstep or integrator data centers, in the cloud, or remotely in customer premises. The SafeMove Mobile Access VPN termination point (SafeMove server) runs on the SMR310 server appliance or virtualized in a VMware environment. A single server can handle more than 1000 concurrently connected devices. On the client side, the built-in IPsec VPN client maintains connectivity on modern smartphones and tablets. This ensures seamless UI integration and full support on current and upcoming mobile platforms.
