EasyFlash - FAQ

Q: Which operating systems are supported?
A: Microsoft Windows XP SP3, Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 (32/64-bit), Microsoft Windows 7 (32/64-bit)


Q: Which Original Device Manufacturer (ODMs) are supported?
A: Huawei. Other device vendors can be added on request. Please send an email with your contact details to: info@birdstep.com

 

Q: Is EasyFlash rebranding support?
A: EasyFlash can be rebranded by adjusting text and images

 

Q: Can EasyFlash be run independantly of EasyConnect?
A: Yes, it can be used to remove/replace any Connection Manager, however the advantage of using Birdstep EasyConnect is that the Easy Management Server (EMS) can be used to maintain client and modem software, moving forward.

 

Q: If I have EasyConnect do I also need EasyFlash?
A: Yes, in order to keep your modem's software/drivers up to date, EasyConnect updates the software on the PC and firmware on the Modem.

 

Q: Which unwanted Connection Managers can be removed.
A: Any client. Please send an email with your contact details to: info@birdstep.com

 

Q: How is EasyFlash deployed?
A: There are several deployment options:
On the modem, with the connection manager.
