What’s new?
RDM Mobile helps solve the complex data management challenges encountered in low cost embedded devices, such as PDA’s, smart phones, in-dash computing, and embedded devices. We offer an extensive feature set with complete reliability in a low footprint and efficient package.
RDM Mobile helps the application developer reduce CPU cycles, memory resources, and battery capacity needs, without compromising on security or functionality. You will see immediate increases in your application quality and performance. In reducing your total cost of ownership, we increase your overall return on investment.
With the existing features of complex data management either in-memory or on persistent storage this new version extends the highly configurable database engine with the following features:
Data Replication
With embedded applications needing play in the high availability arena offering a 99.999% uptime guarantee the database has to conform. With the introduction of RDM Mobile’s data replication capabilities, application vendors can now rely on the data being safely replicated from one blade to another without the hassle of solving this problem in the application. Not only can RDM Mobile replicate from one blade to another, but it can replicate between multiple instances of the database residing in either memory space or on persistent storage.
Hot-Online Backup
In the same spirit of 99.999% uptime, application vendors must guarantee 24x7 operation of their equipment. Vendors should not be forced to disconnect or freeze the application when a maintenance backup cycle is in progress. RDM Mobile v5.1 allows for applications to be connected and responding even though backups are being made - 24x7 operation solved!
Multi-User In-Memory Support
With hardware and software becoming more complex, it is essential that pure in-memory systems have a single data management store accessible by multiple applications and threads. RDM Mobile’s Multi-User In-Memory support now handles these complex environments out-of-the-box, in addition to its flexible persistent database capabilities.
