Jump-Start Training
This service is targeted at new customers or customers facing changes in their application development personnel.
The Jumpstart service provides one week of on-site training and application design. During this week, formal classroom type training will fill 2-3 days. The remainder of the week is an open discussion focusing on the customer’s application requirements, and how to best utilize the Birdstep database management software.
The training portion of the Jumpstart service is designed to help software engineers get up and running with Birdstep database management software. Each days training will be tailored to the attendees database expertise with emphasis placed on topics that best match the attendees experience level. Topics covered in the first three days of this offering include: Database Concepts, Database Design, Database Manipulation, Transaction Processing, Database Internals and Database Utilities. Each of these topics are covered in depth in order to ensure that attendees, after taking the course, are able to design a database, create a database schema, build a database, write database application code to navigate and enter database records and maintain the database using the wide variety of tools offered by Birdstep Technology.
The training and discussions require the attendees to be technically proficient at software development and database usage. The specific languages, standards, and interfaces are dependent on the product they are using.
