Juniper Networks Selects Birdstep for Steel-Belted Radius
Seattle – January 2, 2008 - Birdstep Technology, Inc. (OSE: BIRD) which offers state-of-the-art embedded database technologies, today announced that Juniper Networks, developer of carrier-class and enterprise routers and security platforms, has selected Birdstep’s RDM Embedded database solution to deliver proven reliability and high-performance data management to their Steel-Belted Radius (SBR) Product.
Juniper will use RDM Embedded to manage critical user authentication and access policy management information. “When dealing with heavy traffic loads in such a secure application environment, a solid, secure and performance oriented database solution is a must,” comments Kenneth Culbert, Engineering Manager for SBR. “We chose Birdstep because we are confident that their RDM Embedded product will provide us with the high-performance throughput and stable data management we require.”
