Service Management
The Orbyte Product and Customer Administration (OPCA) unit hosts the system console, a web-based management interface for all management tasks in the system, including service and policy creation, and subscriber administration.
The Orbyte Provisioning System (OPS) unit hosts the central configuration database along with external provisioning APIs. The open standards-based API allows 3rd party service management systems to be tightly integrated with the system, either side-by-side with an OPCA or in a stand-alone configuration.
The Orbyte Accounting System (OAS) unit hosts the accounting collection engine and CDR compiler along with the statistics framework.
The modular architecture allows the system to scale from provisioning of small pilot installations to millions of customers and tens of thousands of access termination points.
