Orbyte Sign-up Server
The Orbyte Sign-up Server (OSS) is a simple upgrade to your Orbyte system. It provides your end-users access to their accounts so they can adjust account parameters, change their passwords and check their balance. The self-administration session consists of a dialogue between the end-user and the system based on a number of web pages. The number and content of the web pages are determined by the type of service the end-user has been allowed to administrate. The appearance of the self management system is highly flexible and can be controlled down to individual users and be branded specifically for your customers.

With the OSS in place you can easily extend your service and make it possible for anybody with a computer and a WLAN card to access your network, sign up and pay for your services.

Orbyte Prepaid/Refill
The self administration features of OSS also allow your customers to handle their payments on-line. For a prepaid product the service provider creates a pricing model consisting of a price and the access time granted for that price. In addition, prepaid products can have a defined starting balance (zero and upwards). You can determine the requirements to refill: none, per month, per quarter, per year with a view to maximizing the chance that the user will have funds available to purchase access when arriving at hotspots.

Orbyte Credit Card Payment
The user is informed on your login page that vouchers may be purchased and paid for by credit card. There is a “Credit card purchase” button on the login page that directs the user to the credit card purchase pages. On the purchase page the user is asked to select a product (if more than one) and enters his/her credit card credentials to affect the actual purchase. When the transaction is done the user is informed of the result. If the transaction was successful the OSS returns a page with the user credentials (username/password) for the selected voucher-access and information about the credit card transaction.

On the same page there is also a “download receipt” button that downloads a receipt to be saved on the user’s terminal. The OSS self-care function requiring a sign up fee per refill is useful in combination with credit card payments to cover the credit card transaction.

The OSS is integrated with the credit card payment network that you as an operator have a relationship with. The integration supports the latest technical and security requirements of the e-business.
