Authentication & Roaming
The authentication, policy and roaming system handles all authentication requests and policy decisions based on parameters such as; subscriber credentials, service selection, location, and – in the case of pre-paid solutions – amount of resources left. The system consists of two products:
- The Orbyte System Controller (OSC) is a standards based authentication, policy decision and roaming manager with extensive support for authentication schemes and roaming scenarios.
- The Orbyte Authentication Manager (OAM) is an innovative solution for EAP/SIM authentication without the need for 802.1x in the access equipment.
Both units can easily be integrated with third party access control and roaming authentication equipment through open standard interfaces.
