Thanks to MediMove, the information systems of hospitals, clinics or health centres can be accessed by the personnel in real time regardless of time or location. Information is constantly available and updateable. With laptops and mobile networks the full-scale utilisation of information systems is possible even if there is no fixed networked connection. Information systems such as patient data systems, referral and appointment reservation systems, laboratory systems and statistics and invoicing systems are available, for example, in:

In practice, MediMove users can move from one network to another, for example, from a 3G network to WLAN to Ethernet and back to a mobile network again. The protected remote connection does not break when switching between networks, used applications remain in operation and there is no need to relog into the company network. The user does not even notice network connection changes except possibly as changes in the traffic speed.
MediMove is based on international standards such as IPSec, IKE and Mobile IP.
