Birdstep Technology receives substantial order from TMN

Oslo/Stockholm/Seattle/Cambridge – December 14, 2006
Birdstep Technology has received a substantial order on laptop licenses covering first quarter 2007 from TMN, Portugal.

Birdstep Technology and TMN announced an agreement in July regarding a nationwide upgrade of the TMN's ease-of-connectivity client offering with added support of additional data cards. The order is a result of this nationwide launch and marketing campaign as well as Birdsteps fast turnaround in supporting new PC-cards requested by TMN.

Besides being very aggressive in terms of marketing, there has been a big shift in focus within to TMN towards mobile broadband access and mobile e-mail, rather than merely voice.

The TMN Software product (EasyConnect™), based on Birdstep's patented technology, has been marketed during the autumn and the number of new users grows continuously. The high market uptake is in line with the predictions according to Birdstep's market penetration methodology.
