Birdstep Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Oslo/Stockholm/Seattle/Cambridge – February 2, 2006 –Birdstep Technology ASA, the leading provider of ease-of-connectivity and seamless-mobility client solutions, announced today that Bente Fagtun Skjæran has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of the company effective immediately, bringing over 20 years of financial and accounting experience to her new post.

Bente Fagtun Skjæran has worked successfully as the Corporate Controller in Birdstep Technology. Since September, 2001 she has been responsible for consolidation of all Birdstep subsidiaries in Seattle, Cambridge and Stockholm.

Skjæran has a solid background in finance from large international companies such as Kværner Oil and Gas, BNP Paribas and Nordea.
