114 793 EasyConnect Activations in September

(Oslo, October 10th 2008) Birdstep Technology ASA reported 114 793 EasyConnect activations in September 2008. In addition, the company has revised the activations for January to August, resulting in a restatement of the numbers for the period.
 
The activations apply to EasyConnect Go and EasyConnect Advanced products, Birdstep Technology’s solutions for mobile broadband connectivity through USB modems and PC cards. Birdstep Technology’s embedded solution for laptop manufacturers, EasyConnect Inside, is not included in the figures.

To enable accurate comparable figures and rigid reporting procedures in the entire value chain from end user to the company, Birdstep Technology has conducted a thorough review of the activation reporting system. The review revealed an accumulated under reporting of 17,065 activations year to date. After the revision, new reporting routines have been established.

The activation numbers apply to EasyConnect Go and EasyConnect Advanced products - Birdstep Technology’s solutions for connectivity to mobile broadband through USB modems. Due to different pricing models for different products and customers, the activations are not directly correlated to the quarterly revenues for the EasyConnect business segment.

The activations for August was announced September 15th, while the January to July figures was indicated in the second quarter financial result presentation of August 14th
