Birdstep awarded contract on nationwide service management from broadband operator
Birdstep has been selected by a major Nordic Broadband Operator to build and extend their fast growing broadband offering with a nationwide mobile service management platform for large scale deployments.
Oslo – June 11, 2007 –Birdstep Technology ASA, the leading provider of secure seamless connectivity and mobility software for laptop, PDA's and Smartphones, today announced a new order from a major Nordic broadband operator to deliver a highly scalable and flexible mobile broadband platform. The order includes a nationwide deployment of mobile broadband zones where Birdstep will deliver a complete platform for service and access management. The order also includes support and maintenance.
Through this nationwide deployment of mobile broadband zones, the broadband operator takes an important step towards becoming a complete provider of “always best connected Internet access” to its customer base. By extending the existing fixed broadband offering with a nationwide mobile broadband solution the customer strengthens its market offering and becomes a complete provider of internet access across fixed as well as mobile networks.
